Europe becomes more and more a province of Islam, a colony of Islam. And Italy is an outpost of that province, a stronghold of that colony-Oriana Fallaci (1929-2006)

"“Europe becomes more and more a province of Islam, a colony of Islam. And Italy is an outpost of that province, a stronghold of that colony...In each of our cities lies a second city: a Muslim city, a city run by the Quran. A stage in the Islamic expansionism.

From Amazon.com, "About the Author [1929-2006]

As a war correspondent Oriana Fallaci has covered the great majority of our era's conflicts: from Vietnam to the Middle East; from the 1965 Hungarian insurrection to the 1970s Latin American upheavals; and from the 1968 massacre in Mexico City, where she was seriously wounded, to the Gulf War. Her books, which include popular novels, have been translated into twenty-one languages."

"The book’s primary theme addresses the threat Islam presents to liberal democracies."

I was not aware when I bought this book that it is No. 2 in a 3-part trilogy. “The Rage and the Pride” being No. 1 while No. 3, “Oriana Fallaci interviews Herself”, has not yet been translated into English. That said, I do not believe it requisite to read these 3 books in any particular order.

About the author: The written post-script of “The Force of Reason” is the reproduction of an award acceptance speech made by Fallaci shortly before her death. The award received was called the “Annie Taylor” award – Annie Taylor having been the first human to plummet over Niagara Falls in a barrel AND live to tell the tale. Fallaci, having apparently been beaten, shot and requiring bodyguards much of her time for saying what she thought, the criteria for receiving the “Taylor” becomes rather self-evident.

About the book: it is well written and easily read. In fact, one might say it’s a bit of a ‘page-turner’. The book’s primary theme addresses the threat Islam presents to liberal democracies. As Ms. Fallaci was born in Florence, Italy, travelled internationally to interview prominent leaders and had also lived in NYC, her perspective is supported by a great deal of direct experience. The book also includes Fallaci’s exposition on the intriguing nature of her proclaimed Christian-atheism, so clearly, there is also an auto-biographical component to “The Force of Reason”.

In Summary: having read several books treating of the subject of Islamization, penned by various authors of diverse backgrounds, I can say that several fall into the category of ‘recommended reading’, but none is more highly recommended than “The Force of Reason” by Oriana Fallaci."

Great book, opens one's eyes to the immensity of the problem of world islamization. basically this is the book of facts written by a journalist of very high caliber and integrity. if world leaders keep kissing up to the oil kings and do nothing, we'll all end up as slaves of this inhumane religion."
