Pres. of German auto industry lobby says Europe must now change climate policies, that economic success must come before climate. Follows Pres. Trump keeping promise to his voters that US taxpayer earnings can't be redistributed by a so-called global climate deal signed by only one person-Reuters, 6/2/17

"President Trump on Thursday...put the world on notice that no president can unilaterally commit this nation to such far-reaching agreements." 6/1/17, NY Post Editorial Board

June 2, 2017, "German car makers fear losing competitive edge after U.S. Paris exit," Reuters

"Germany's powerful car industry said Europe would need to reassess its environmental standards to remain competitive after the United States said it would withdraw from the Paris climate pact.

President Donald Trump said on Thursday he would withdraw the United States from the landmark 2015 global agreement to fight climate change, drawing anger and condemnation from world leaders and heads of industry."...

[Ed. note: No link to definition of "climate change." No link to substantiate that agreement will "fight" climate change. No substantiation for implication that climate needs to be or can be globally "fought." Nor mention of
2014 peer reviewed science that Northern and Southern hemispheres are completely separate climate systems, global policy and spending can't help. Excerpt: This study reverses previous findings." 8/4/2014, "Climate change not so global," University of Queensland, Australia

"Scientists are calling for a better understanding of regional climates, after research into New Zealand's glaciers has revealed climate change in the Northern Hemisphere does not directly affect the climate in the Southern Hemisphere.

The University of Queensland study showed that future climate changes may impact differently in the two hemispheres, meaning a generalised global approach isn’t the solution to climate issues....
“This study highlights the need to understand regional climate rather than a global one-size-fits-all.”"...

7/28/2014, "The early rise and late demise of New Zealand’s last glacial maximum," PNAS.org, Henrik Rothera,1 David Finkb, James Shulmeisterc, Charles Mifsudb, Michael Evansd, and Jeremy Pughe,2]

(continuing): "The regrettable announcement by the USA makes it inevitable that Europe must facilitate a cost efficient and economically feasible climate policy to remain internationally competitive,
" Matthias Wissmann, president of the German auto industry lobby group VDA, said in a statement on Friday.

"The preservation of our competitive position is the precondition for successful climate protection. This correlation is often underestimated," Wissmann said, adding that the decision by the Unites States was disappointing.

The VDA said electricity and energy prices are already higher in Germany than in the United States, putting Germany at a disadvantage.

The VDA represents carmakers including BMW (BMWG.DE), Volkswagen (VOWG_p.DE), and Mercedes-Benz parent Daimler (DAIGn.DE).

The VDA's warning comes as German Chancellor Angela Merkel, one of the strongest advocates of the global pact to curb emissions of gases that speed climate change, said there was no turning back from the 2015 Paris climate agreement." "(Reporting by Edward Taylor; editing by Alexander Smith)"

Comment: The entire US political class was fine with Obama's unilateral signing of "let's steal from US taxpayers some more" under the guise of a global climate plan. The US congress and political class have spent decades loading up authority in the Executive branch, thus making the US more like a dictatorship. It's easier to "get things done" that way, you know, like China does. The US political class loves the multi-trillion dollar imaginary global warming industry because it permanently punishes, weakens, and demeans Americans. No matter how much we pay, it can never be enough:

"“If you really believe or accept that global warming is a legitimate, real, immediate threat, then there's no amount of money you wouldn't pay to avoid it," he said."

6/27/2013, Establishment Republican energy lobbyist Mike McKenna, quoted at end of Politico article, "GOP climate tack: Talk jobs, not science," Politico Pro, Darren Goode

Deliberate destruction of a society is Lemkin's definition of genocide. Trump's opinion about the CO2 danger industry changed right after he was elected. All of a sudden he was said to be "evolving" on the issue. It's very tempting to sell out Americans. There isn't a dime behind putting America first. All the money in the world is behind putting America last.
