Some House Republicans are convinced Trump will be impeached so they're holding off moving any of his agenda. They're waiting for their pal, President Pence-Rush Limbaugh, June16, 2017...(Added: Trump hires Deep State swamp dwellers like Rod Rosenstein then is surprised when they act like Deep State swamp dwellers)

6/16/17, "Some Washington Republicans Really Are Waiting for President Pence," Rush Limbaugh

"By the way, there’s a school of thought running around in Washington on Capitol Hill...when you start asking Republicans, “Why are you not trying to move the Trump agenda? Why are you sitting on your hands? Why do you let Democrats run the show?” One of the answers you get is, “We’re waiting for Pence.”

I ran this theory by a sitting member of the Republican House of Representatives, and he thought, “Rush, I haven’t heard that. I haven’t heard a word of that.” And he started looking into it, and he wrote me back. He said, “I must ask your forgiveness.” There are apparently — I don’t know what the number is, but there are enough Republicans, some in the House, who are convinced that Trump’s gonna be impeached. They are convinced that Trump is toast. And they want to hold off on moving the Trump agenda until he’s gone so it then becomes President Pence.

I mean, Pence is one of them. Pence is a governor. Pence is a member of the House....Pence is a guy they understand and know. They’re not embarrassed. They’re not ashamed or any of that. And I think there’s some validity. Take Pence out of it. I think there’s a sizable group of Republicans that think Trump isn’t going to make it. And, as such, they are sitting on their hands and not advancing Trump’s agenda because they think that once Trump goes, his agenda is gonna be the next thing and that anybody who voted for it is gonna get the same treatment Trump got. So even though they’re running the show, you just don’t see much evidence."

Added: Trump has certainly lost control of the Justice Dept. if he ever had it. Trump hires Deep State swamp dwellers ("He's a career DOJ guy") like Rod Rosenstein then appears surprised when they act like Deep State swamp dwellers:

June 16, 2017, "Trump says he is under investigation for firing James Comey," ABC News, Veronica Stracqualursi
"President Trump this morning lashed out at reports that he is being investigated for firing former FBI Director James Comey last month.

"I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director! Witch Hunt," Trump wrote in a tweet.

ABC News has reached out to the White House for comment.

A source close to the president's legal team said that the tweet was not actually confirming an investigation, but rather referencing a Washington Post story Wednesday that reported Special Counsel Robert Mueller had expanded his probe of Russian election meddling to include whether Trump obstructed justice.

Officials who served on Trump's transition team have been instructed to preserve all documents that could be pertinent to the Russia investigations conducted by Congress and the special counsel.

In May, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed former FBI director Robert Mueller as special counsel to take over the FBI’s investigation into Russia’s meddling in the election.

Trump has repeatedly denied that he is under investigation."...

[Ed. note: A good example of ABC Fake News. "Repeatedly?" When someone withholds exculpatory information on you for five months, the average person will of necessity have to "repeat" best evidence of their innocence (Comey telling him 3 times). ABC is Fake News by omitting the only relevant source on whether Trump was under investigation which is Comey himself in his Senate testimony statement released June 7, 2017. He reports telling Trump 3 times over a period of 5 months that he wasn't under investigation. Trump making the statement on his own is easily dismissed. Comey "repeatedly denied" that Trump was under investigation--but deliberately withheld that information from the public for five months (Jan. 6-June 7). The result: For 5 months, Trump was allowed to twist slowly, slowly in the wind (hey, there's a good Watergate comparison). On March 30, Comey also assured congressional Republicans that the president was not a subject of an FBI investigation. Miraculously, there wasn't a single leak of that information exonerating Trump.]

(continuing): "“No collusion, no obstruction,” he remarked at a news conference last Friday.

The Washington Post reported that the obstruction of justice inquiry stems from Trump's firing of Comey, who was overseeing the FBI probe. ABC News has not been able to independently confirm the report.

After the report, Trump tweeted Thursday, "They made up a phony collusion with the Russians story, found zero proof, so now they go for obstruction of justice on the phony story. Nice."

Then, in what could be seen as an attack against Rosenstein, Mueller, or Mueller's special counsel team members, Trump called the special counsel's probe into Russia the "single greatest WITCH HUNT in American political history - led by some very bad and conflicted people!"

Comey was fired by Trump May 9. In a letter to Comey informing him of his dismissal, Trump said he was acting on a recommendation from Rosenstein. A few days later, in a May 11 interview, Trump told NBC News he was thinking of the Russia investigation when he ultimately made the decision to dismiss Comey

Although Trump appeared to be attacking Rosenstein today, Trump previously praised the man he nominated for deputy attorney general

"He’s highly respected. Very good guy, very smart guy. The Democrats like him. The Republicans like him," Trump said of Rosenstein in that same interview with NBC News."...

[Ed. note: If both Democrats and Republicans like a nominee, that usually means he's a Deep State swamp dweller. Plenty of people are highly respected and smart but aren't Deep State swamp dwellers. You were elected to get rid of the swamp, not add to it.]

(continuing): "As for the gathering of documents, Kory Langhofer, a lawyer on the transition team and of the Arizona law firm Statecraft, said he sent a memo Thursday ordering officials to do so related to Russia, Ukraine, and former campaign advisers and officials including Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, Carter Page, Rick Gates and Roger Stone.

His memo asks aides to save all foreign travel documents and any records of communications from the transition period. Not preserving the records, Langhofer's memo warns, could result in civil or criminal penalties.

The request for records preservation is not unusual or unexpected. Similar legal instruction was given to Trump's campaign officials. Langhofer declined to offer any additional comment to ABC News."

Added: Source for Comey confirming 3 times over a period of 5 months (Jan. 6-June 7) that Trump wasn't under investigation:

6/7/17, "Comey Confirms: Trump Wasn’t Under FBI Investigation," Daily Caller, Phillip Stucky

"Former FBI Director James Comey confirmed in his Senate hearing opening statement published Wednesday (6/7) that he told President Donald Trump he wasn’t a subject of an FBI investigation on three different occasions....

Comey’s statement for Thursday’s Senate Intelligence hearing confirmed each of those interactions and outlined the circumstances that led to each conversation.

The former FBI director first assured Trump that he wasn’t under investigation in a one-on-one meeting in Trump Tower January 6. Comey said that he provided this assurance unprompted.

The second took place during a January 27 dinner with the president. Comey again said that he assured Trump that he wasn’t under investigation by the FBI.

The third conversation occurred March 30 via a phone call with the president. Comey was briefing Trump on a conversation he had with congressional leadership where he assured Republicans that the president was not a subject of an FBI investigation.

“I did not tell the president that the FBI and the Department of Justice had been reluctant to make public statements that we did not have an open case on President Trump for a number of reasons, most importantly because it would create a duty to correct, should that change, Comey said."

Comment: In all seriousness, if Jared and/or Ivanka is involved in vetting Trump hires, all of them are going to be Deep State swamp dwellers.
